Introducing for the first time...

Harriet Marleen Fawcett. Hattie was born January 7, 2008 at 9:33 pm. She weighed 7lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 inches long. Here are some of the first photos, but I will be adding more, of course!

Look Who's Here!

He flew in from Iraq on Jan. 1. It took him 56 hours to get here. It was the first time he saw the house since June, just before we closed escrow. We had a mini Christmas celebration together. Randy woke up at 4 this morning and organized all of our computer equipment and fixed my internet. He has also fixed a few things around the house and was able to attend my doctor's appointment with me. He'll be here for 2 weeks. It is great to have him home.

Hope everyone had a great New Year's. I stayed home with the 'rents and watched the ball drop. I had to wake them up at 11:59 pm. Very exciting night.

So, I'm not Martha Stewart,

but I try to be.
Last weekend I invited two friends, Amy and Sarah, to come by and bring their favorite holiday cookie, candy and appetizer. We swapped recipes, ate, and visited. I found a cute snowman cheeseball recipe in a Martha Stewart magazine that I just had to copy. Well, it didn't turn out exactly like Martha's (not even close) but I gave it my best try.

Congratulations to my mom!

In May, my mom retired from her 30+ year career as a ROP teacher for Merced County Schools. In April, her co-workers gave her a very nice retirement party. My grandparents from Placerville and uncle from Arizona were able to attend. Many of my aunts and uncles and close friends from the area were also there to support her.

Ninety

My grandpa turned 90 in April. The day before his big birthday bash (complete with Mariachi band), he fell and bruised his face. He felt fine, but looked as if he was in a boxing match.

I want to wish my dad a very happy birthday. He turned 70 on Saturday.

100 Days

left until my due date. The second trimester has gone by extremely fast. I am sharing photos of the day we found out we were expecting. I took the test first thing in the morning (after Randy left for work). I kept it a secret all day and surprised him when he returned home with balloons, a teddy bear and the book, "The Expectant Father."

Congrats to Devon and Chad!

Mr. and Mrs. Homme were married at The River Mill in French Camp last night. The wedding was beautiful and so was Devon. She looked amazing. Congrats to them!

Some happy news!

We are expecting a baby Jan.1. We are so excited. The gender is going to be a surprise. My pregnancy has been easy-no morning sickness! I am feeling well and exercising a little everyday. The countdown begins!
