Namesake

We are often asked how we chose the name Cole for our son. Cole's formal name is Driscoll Baker. "Driscoll" was Randy's grandmother's (Harriet) maiden name. My grandmother's maiden name happens to be Cole. We thought naming him Driscoll and calling him Cole would be a perfect blend of both of our grandmothers. His middle name, Baker, is Martha's (Randy's mom aka Grammy) maiden name. Each one of our children's first and middle names was named after a grandparent or great-grandparent.
My grandmother (who turns 90 in February) was able to meet Cole this weekend. These are special memories that I will always treasure.

Some beautiful photos, Steph. I can't wait to share them with your Grandmother. Everytime she looked at Cole she'd say, "He's so beautiful!"
A lovely day with lots of wonderful memories.
