This is our first week participating in stART. What is stART? It is when you combine reading a book to your child with an art project. This is from the website:

We love reading all different kinds of books and doing projects in our house. A lot of the time we are inspired to do our projects based on a book that we have enjoyed. I thought it would be fun to share some of the books we are reading and the art projects that we do with them.
Each Thursday I will post my "stART" project and if you have a book related art project that you did during the week I would love it if you joined us and linked up!
One of our mini themes this month is: Circus.
I bought this book years ago at the Dollar Tree,
and it continues to be a favorite around here.
As you read the book, you stick your face through the
open spaces.
Hattie's friend Liam came over and the kids
made a clown hat, clown collar (out of
paper plates) and a clown bow tie (paper
towel).
