Two? Really? Fastest two years of my life. I kept looking at her all day and wondering where the time went. What happened to the newborn that only slept for 1.5 hour stretches at a time? Or the very easy going infant that sat back and laughed at us all day? Well, now she is a spunky, little bit bossy, two-year old.
At 2,
She:
-sleeps very well (7pm-7am)
-will sometimes take a nap (maybe 2-3 times a week)
-can be a picky eater.
-does not like sweets (refused to eat her cupcake tonight)
-copies everything her big sister says/does
-has a very loud speaking voice, especially in the library
-is not immune to public timeouts (library, park, Costco, Target, and today: Safeway)
-has strong verbal skills
-asks many "why?" questions a day
-is very independent and wants to do everything "myself"
-loves playing with her "dollies" and any figurines
-refuses to look at me when I am taking photos of her
-loves wearing dresses and says, "Mommy, I look like a princess"
-likes to work on activities with Hattie
-loves to watch the "Fresh Beat Band" on Nick Jr.
-continues to amaze us everyday...
"Celie, look at Mommy and smile at the camera."
In the last picture, she is literally saying, "Stop. Go play now."
