Tot School-Halloween

We finished up our Fall theme this week with some Halloween activities.

I read the story, "The Little Orange House." Hattie loved
the jack-o-lantern that appeared.

I read the book, "Pinkalicious and the Pink Pumpkin." The
girls learned that red and white make pink. They painted
their pumpkins for about 45 minutes. They LOVE paint.

I found this idea on pinterest. I painted Milk bone dog
biscuits white and Hattie made a skeleton with them. I gave
Celie chalk to draw her skeleton. I was convinced that she
would eat the dog biscuits.

Hattie's friend Liam came over. I made the kids ghost cookies.
I found the idea on pinterest.

In addition to our math, reading and handwriting books,
Hattie "filled in the blank" with missing numerals, worked on
Lesson 29 in her book, "Extensions to Teaching Your Child to
Read in 100 Easy Lessons,"
and we learned about the artist, Paul Klee.
I printed out the picture of "Head of a Man," and she tried to
imitate his painting with a head pattern I found on Google images.
