Muffin Tin Monday-Bears

Wow! It's been a long time since I have participated in MTM. Now that the new school year is starting, I think I will try to join in again at least once a month.
Our theme for the month is Camping/Hiking/Forest Animals. This week we are learning about bears, so I decided to have a bear theme to our muffin tin.
This morning we read the book, "Two Bear Cubs" by Ann Jonas.
In the book, two bear cubs chase a skunk and get
separated from their mother. Along the way, they interrupt
a bee hive and are chased by angry bees. I put in cinnamon
Teddy Grahams and underneath it, a little bit of honey for
dipping. The bears also go fishing in a river to find dinner,
so I added pretzel rods (fishing poles) to dip into blue cream cheese.
She dipped the rods into the cream cheese then
caught fish crackers. BTW, the bears in the book did not use
fishing poles. :) I also added gummy bears and a pb&j sandwich
shaped like a bear.

Hattie enjoyed "fishing.' In the last picture, she covered a
teddy graham with honey, stuck it to her sandwich, and
said, "Look Mommy. The mama bear is holding the baby bear
so she won't get lost again."

Dear Hattie...Grandpa Hector just read that you like fishing! His eyes lit up. Don't be surprised if you become his new best fishing partner!

Love, Grandma and Grandpa Hector

that is so cute! Great job! I don't think honey would have occurred to me in this theme but it's the perfect addition.
