this after our fabulous vacation to Idaho.
But, this week we:
Played with our new magnetic forest board from
Create a Scene Magnetic Forest.
Used the pine cones, sticks and rocks we collected on our
hike in Idaho as painting tools. "Someone" went a little
crazy with the paint.
Since we had collected a ton of rocks, I used this Rock
Classification activity from deceptivelyeducational.blogspot.com.
Hattie filled in her graph and then we sorted the rocks
from biggest to smallest.
I placed the moss, bark, and pine cones from our trip onto a
tray and Celie had fun exploring them. She brought a doll
to the table and she was telling her to "be careful baby." "Prickly."
I filled in our new rice bucket for the month: green rice,
forest landscape and woodland animals. At first Celie was
hesitant to play with it, but after a few minutes she dove right
in.
And Goldfish S'mores for snack. Very addicting.
